Senator Stillman is to be congratulated for art5icvulating an issue and a tool to solve it. I used to live in New London, and saw it's slow but steady decline. I believe this program, which has worked where tried can help bring back an essential quality - commerce - back to downtown, and will encourage a city of absentee rentals to once again be a place where people of all economic levels can become stakeholders once again. The land value tax is an essential tool in the long-term undertaking.

This is a very articulate description of a tax option that is a Smart Growth initiative and has rejuvenated cities in the US and around the world. Please support Senator Stillman's leadership to make New London a walkable, sustainable and financial viable community and finally recover from General Arnold's visit.

Excellent analysis and prescription for beneficial change. One set of costs the good Senator failed to mention, regarding suburban sprawl, is the higher utility costs and road construction costs, most of which are borne by city taxpayers.

Hello? The Hygienic Art Show? Which for *30* years has been an incredible, non-juried, free outlet for all of New London's citizens. I really appreciate Ms. Moorehead's spirit, but I just don't understand how the Hygienic Art Show didn't make it into her new Hygienic education.

Two pieces of advice for Ms. Moorehead: Never miss an art opening. And don't miss any concerts in the Hygienic Art Park this summer. Then you'll really feel the Hygienic magic.

Oh, and one more thing. Hygienic XXXI. Next January.....
