New London Kiwanis "One Day of Service"

Posted by NLKiwanis on Apr 07 2008, 10:03 AM
The "One Day for Service" project at the Gemma Moran United Way Food Bank on April 5th was a big success. Between 8:00 AM and noon six club members and nine Key Clubbers representing three clubs sorted tons of food. Rich Cheatham did a great job facilitating the project. Many thanks also to Paul Jakoboski, Executive Director at the Food Bank, for opening and working with the club to make this project successful. Along with Rich Cheatham, club volunteers were Tom Moriarty, Marty Olsen, Dave Stender, Andrea Bell Kaiser and Andrew Ely and his twelve-year-old son, Aidan. Key Club volunteers from Fitch were Amanda Bright, Mike Muehe, Emily Story, Cassie Hill and Chelsea Charhbonier; East Lyme: Kevin Santa Maria and Tom Krasner and Lyme-Old Lyme: Mick Barclay and Austin Hack. Thanks to all who participated!
