Thanks for reading and sharing. And you're right, we have positive things going on across Norwich--a rescued house here, a start-up business there--all of which are important but I get impatient when 'this is how we've always done things' gets in the way of how we could now do them.

Monday's forum may, or may not, mention the NT Mall (or NT Mausoleum as I ruefully call it. I had hoped the actual agenda would be posted to the City of Norwich website but that hasn't yet happened.

I've heard where some 14 panelists have been invited to join the Mayor in a roundtable discussion, which sounds (to me) like at least a dozen more people than can effectively get anything done. So I'm a little concerned that we'll talk about 'moving forward' but still not actually do any moving.

FWIW, If I had a dollar for every tenant in the Mercantile Exchange, would I be able to afford the fees for two hours of parking? Not sure what that answer looks like. ;-)

Well, you have really summed up a frustration for all of us who reside in the Rose city. The other issue besides the prospect of the former Norwich Hospital, or lack of it, is the vacant Norwichtown Mall. Do you know the story behind why that has become a ghostown mall?

One positive note, the mercantile building finally got renovated! So there must be hope, it does spring eternal!
