residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in
Branford and North Branford. As those charged
are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names.

Branford
Wednesday, June 18
• A 40-year-old New
Haven man was arrested at 11:33 a.m. on a warrant
charging him with failure to appear in the second degree.
• A 50-year-old Branford woman and a 30-year-old man of the
same address where arrested at 5:13 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct
under the Domestic Violence Act.
Thursday, June 19
• A 52-year-old woman of Prospect Street was arrested at 5:36 p.m.
and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
• A 25-year-old Wallingford
woman was arrested at 9:50 p.m. and charged with harassment in the second
degree and violation of a protective order.
Friday, June 20
• An 18-year-old East Haven
man was arrested at 5:38 p.m. and charged with risk of injury to a minor and
possession of alcohol by a minor.
• A 28-year-old man of Main Street was issued a misdemeanor
summons at 2:01 a.m. for failure to have insurance and operating an
unregistered motor vehicle.
• A 52-year-old East Haven
woman was issued a misdemeanor summons at 11:44 a.m. for operating a motor
vehicle while under license suspension.
• A 31-year-old New
Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 4:14
p.m. for misuse of plate, failure to have insurance, operating a motor vehicle
without a license, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
• A 41-year-old man of Dominican Road was issued a misdemeanor
summons at 9:59 p.m. for misuse or plate, failure to have insurance, operating
an unregistered motor vehicle, and operating a motor vehicle without a license.
Saturday, June 21
• A 44-year-old man of a Briarwood Lane apartment was arrested at
12:11 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol and
drugs, drinking while operating a motor vehicle, and operating a motor vehicle
without a license.
• A 61-year-old man of Plymouth Colony Road was arrested at 9:37
a.m. and charged with breach of peace.
• A 27-year-old Bridgeport
man was arrested at 10 p.m. and charged with criminal trespass in the first
degree.
Sunday, June 22
• A 39-year-old man of Clarke Avenue was arrested at 7:39 p.m.
and charged with assault in the third degree and disorderly conduct.
• A 32-year-old West
Haven man was arrested at 10:50 p.m. on a warrant
charging him with failure to appear in the second degree. While in custody he
was arrested on a second warrant charging him with the same. He was first
stopped for a motor vehicle violation at 10:30 p.m. and issued a misdemeanor
summons for operating a motor vehicle while under license suspension.
Monday, June 23
• A 32-year-old East Haven
man was arrested at 3:04 a.m. and charged with larceny in the third degree,
criminal trover in the first degree, manufacture or possession of burglar’s
tools, and conspiracy to commit larceny in the third degree.
• A 35-year-old Cheshire
man was arrested at 3:04 a.m. and charged with possession of less than four
ounces of marijuana, manufacture or possession of burglar’s tools, larceny in
the third degree, and conspiracy to commit larceny in the third degree.
• A 41-year-old Waterbury
man was arrested at 3:04 a.m. and charged with failure to keep prescription
drug in original container, possession of narcotics, manufacture or possession
of burglary's tools, larceny in the third degree, and conspiracy to commit
larceny in the third degree.
• A 59-year-old East Haven
woman was arrested at 5:30 p.m. on a warrant charging with failure to appear in
the second degree.
• A 34-year-old man of a Chestnut Street apartment was issued a
misdemeanor summons at 8:20 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under
license suspension, failure to have insurance, and operating an unregistered
motor vehicle.
Tuesday, June 24
• A 51-year-old woman of a Main Street apartment was arrest on a
warrant held by another authority after she was stopped for a motor vehicle
violation and issued a citation for improper use of marker plate.
• An 18-year-old man of Lakeview Terrace was arrested at 11
p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.
• A 43-year-old man of Collins Drive was arrested at 11:20 p.m.
and charged with harassment in the second degree.
North Branford
Wednesday, June 18
• A 51-year-old man of a Mansfield Drive apartment in Northford
was arrested at 3:34 p.m. and charged with assault in the third degree. He was
issued a July 3 court date.
• An 18-year-old man of a Branford Road apartment was issued a
misdemeanor summons at 8:49 p.m. for speeding at over 60 miles per hour on a
road. The type of vehicle he was driving was not identified.
Thursday, June 19
No arrests were made.
• A 37-year-old Guilford
woman was issued a misdemeanor summons at 6:47 p.m. for speeding at over 60
miles per hour on a road. She was driving a gray 2001 Volvo station wagon.
Friday, June 20
• A 59-year-old man of Westerly,
Rhode Island,
was arrested at 10:35 p.m. and charged with criminal violation of a protective
order. He was issued a June 23 court date.
• A 35-year-old man of Clintonville Road in Northford was issued
a written warning at 4:54 p.m. for unnecessary noise.
• A 47-year-old Meriden
woman was issued a citation at 5:01 p.m. for failure to obey a control signal.
She was driving a green 2000 Toyota Corolla.
• A 42-year-old Guilford man was issued a citation at 6:25
p.m. for operating an unregistered motor vehicle. He was driving a gray 2000
Toyota Avalon.
Saturday, June 21
No arrests were made.
• A 20-year-old Wallingford man was issued a misdemeanor
summons at midnight for failure to have insurance, operating a motorcycle
without an endorsement, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle. He was
driving a gray 2001 Honda 600.
Sunday, June 22 to Monday, June 23
No arrests were made and no incidents were reported.
Tuesday, June 24
No arrests were made.
• A 57-year-old New Haven man was issued a citation at 6:27
a.m. for operating a motor vehicle without a license. He was driving a 1992
Honda.
• A 20-year-old Guilford man was issued a citation at 9:43
p.m. for creating a public disturbance.
From June 18 to 24, North Branford police also issued five
citations to motorists for failure to wear a seat belt in the front seat and
three citations for traveling unreasonably fast.
