Niantic Lodge #17 of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows of Connecticut was instituted on February 17, 1878. Before moving their meetings to Fairview, the Independent Order of Odd Fellows of Connecticut Home, Niantic Lodge met in their Lodge Hall in Niantic at the Main Street end of Pennsylvania Avenue. The Pennsylvania Avenue hall was moved several time to different locations on the property. In the end the hall was lost to a devastating fire.
Meetings are held at 7:00 PM on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month.
