Making a big splash for downtown Niantic. The Makiakis family is sponsoring a streetlight in Niantic's streetscape enhancement project. John, Irene, Madeleine and Manny Makiakis, residents of Giant's Neck Beach, donated $5000 to Main Street Niantic at the association's annual meeting earlier this year.
